We tend to throw the word fail around a fair bit. Sometimes a failure isn’t really a failure.
Let’s look at affiliate marketing campaigns, we often say the ones that don’t work out are a failure. While it might be true that we stopped the campaign and it didn’t work out, but that doesn’t mean it was a failure. When we stop a campaign, it means that it didn’t financially make sense to continue to run it (or at least this is what it should mean). How we determine this can be in a variety of different ways as different people have different testing methodologies.
I guess the thing we need to realize, no matter who you are, not every campaign will be successful. Some people find 1 successful campaign in every 10 tested. Some people find 1 successful campaign in every 20 tested. It doesn’t really matter, what matters is that you don’t give up.
No matter how many campaigns that you have had that didn’t work out, it doesn’t matter – you only need to be right once to make a difference. When you find that winner campaign, it can (and should) more than make up for all of the ones that didn’t work out.
Some people get really down on themselves when a campaign doesn’t work out, some people just have a hard time dealing with the fact that it doesn’t always work out. When this happens to you, don’t get upset, don’t get emotional, just recognize it’s part of the process.
Anyone who has found success in anything has stumbled and dealt with failure. Read up on any success stories from popular and famous entrepreneurs. All of them have had their fair share of failures. They just didn’t give up, they kept going and going until they found success.
If you want to success in this industry, you need to take the same approach. Even if you encounter failure, don’t stop, don’t quit, keep going.
