If you’ve read this site, you’ve likely seen us discuss a new monetization network called Pagez.
Unfortunately Pagez ran into some issues with Facebook and has currently been suspended by Facebook for 90 days. After the 90 day period, they plan on appealing the suspension.
Currently, we have no idea on what the outcome could be. At the end of the day, this is unfortunately a risk we all take in this industry. It’s actually a good lesson. At the end of the day, any traffic source, network, company, etc can make a decision which potential could have massive impact on us.
We have the upmost confidence that the people behind Pagez (Luke and Daniel) will figure out a way to turn a positive from this. We should take this as a reminder to always diversify and protect ourselves.
The big question is – Why was Pagez suspended by Facebook? It’s complicated. Actually, Facebook did not even provide an answer or any feedback on it. Unfortunately this is very common for Facebook. For anyone who has used Facebook Ads has likely seen this type of behaviour before with ads being disapproved. Some may have even seen accounts banned for no reason. I do know that Pagez was having some trouble with the user generated content. There are always some bad apples out there who just downright copy material and there are those who deliberatively post fake news for clickbait. We personally feel this could have been what caused Facebook to take their stance.
Again, I am very confident that Luke and Daniel will figure out a way to either bring Pagez back (assuming Facebook lifts the suspension) or they will being a similar product along with their knowledge and what they have learned from this.
