Every once and a while I see someone say this and it is really one of my biggest pet peeves.
While it can be challenging starting out, this like anything else is a real business. There are real people involved, real money involved, etc.
Making money online has a very low barrier of money to break into. If you don’t believe me, talk to someone who has started their own brick and mortar business and have owned a physical shop. The initial expenses to open a physical shop are astronomically higher.
Aside from the costs, to find success with a physical shop, you also obviously need to know the background of the product (or products) that you sell, this doesn’t come overnight. This takes training, research, etc – this is similar to what people starting in affiliate marketing go through, it’s a stage where you need to get educated.
Next time you start thinking of how hard affiliate marketing or making money online is. Think about how much harder it would be to start a brick and mortar business.
Keep in mind, this industry isn’t for everyone. It takes a certain level of persistence and drive to be able to make it and stay in this industry. At the same time, compared to 5-10 years ago, there are more tools and training programs than ever. When I started out, there were no spy tools, there were no public trackers. Now there are tons of both. There wasn’t any training programs where you pay a small fee and have people train you on how to make money online. But still, aside from myself, many people found their way.
I guess this was more of a rant than anything. I find this actually easier than most “real” jobs and I’d rather be doing this than a “real” job. Aside the fact there is much more money in this, I find it more enjoyable.
So next time, instead of thinking of how “hard” affiliate marketing (or making money online) is, think about what you can do to get better at it.
