Does Affiliate Marketing Really Work?

question-confused

Time and time again, this question gets asked or some people sometimes make a statement such as “affiliate marketing does not work”.

So, Does Affiliate Marketing REALLY Work?

Are we REALLY asking this Question?

Honestly, this site would not exist if Affiliate Marketing did not work! We wouldn’t have any content to write about!

Ok, I get it, we are a smaller site, but let’s look at the bigger picture. Would so many affiliate networks exist if Affiliate Marketing did not work (just off the top of my head, here’s a bunch of networks – Maxbounty, Peerfly, Neverblue, Above all Offers, A4D, Convert2Media, W4, Clickbank, CJ, Shareasale) and that was just off the top of my head, there are many many more.

What about all of the tracking companies now, this might date me, but I remember years ago when there wasn’t any public trackers available until Prosper202 came out! Now aside Prosper202, there are many others such as CPV Lab, Voluum, Thrive, AdsBridge and I keep hearing about more and more.

Now on to traffic sources (such as 50onRed, BingAds, Facebook Ads, etc), while there are several available and affiliates use these, larger companies also use these for advertising their own products as well, so we can’t really equate these being around solely due to Affiliate Marketing.

What about Affiliate Marketing Training Programs/Sites such as Aff Playbook? There is no way that we could have sites that this that actually show people legitimately how to make money with affiliate marketing if affiliate marketing did not exist! The case studies and screenshots on these sites should prove that Affiliate marketing does work and well! (note, I agree that not all screenshots will be valid, but on these large training sites, when they are posted by the admin or staff, they wouldn’t risk their reputation for altering screenshots or posting bogus ones).

Also, think about conferences such as Affiliate Summit East and Affiliate Summit West. These would not exist if Affiliate Marketing did not work. Companies, such as affiliate networks pour in tons of money to attend and sponsor these to show a presence, meet and greet with their affiliates and try to attract new affiliates.

So, with all of this being said – why do people ask if Affiliate Marketing really works or state that Affiliate Marketing does NOT work? I would guess that if someone is asking the question or making the statement that it has not worked for them. Which is understandable, many people initially struggle to find success in this industry (among others as well).

If you find yourself asking if Affiliate Marketing really works, it does – believe it and if you are struggling, don’t stop, keep going. It can take a long time for some people to find success, everyone finds it at their own rate and if it takes you longer than most people, don’t get upset or bothered – just keep plugging away and don’t give up!

If you are stating Affiliate Marketing does not work. I’m sorry to hear that you feel this way. Thousands of people are making a full time living off of it in some way, shape or form. If you still have an open mind, why not give it another try. Stick with it for longer this time and don’t give up. If you find yourself lost, why not seek out some extra training to help?

I’ll end this with saying – Affiliate Marketing DOES WORK! Thousands (if not more) people can testify to this, unfortunately not everyone finds success fast enough in this industry and end up quitting before they have found it. Don’t give up! Keep going!
